New York Residency, no posts til June.

Hello everyone,

I am currently away from my home studio doing some on-site contract work for a video game company in the art capital of the world, New York, New York!

I have been here all of last week, and will be here until at least the 22nd of the month. Unfortunately I had to leave my studio computer behind, so no art updates during that time.

Expect posts as usual when I either return home, or relocate here full time.

Yanni Davros is an award-winning illustrator and concept artist for the entertainment, electronic game, and publication industries. He is currently residing in the amazing birthplace of Rock and Roll Cleveland, Ohio USA. Yanni is a B.F.A. graduate with honors in sequential art from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He works with a variety of media including traditional, as well as digital paintings with Apple computers in conjunction with the Wacom Intuos graphics tablet and Cintique monitor. Software used is Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, and Corel Painter XII. Yeah, but it wasn't easy, I had to work quite a few retail and restaurant jobs my first year out, but I pushed myself to keep drawing when I got home from work each night. So I guess I never lost track of the dream. Now I've been making an honest living from just doing my artwork for about a year now. This economy is hurting me badly though if it makes you feel better.

Almost done, had a hectic weekend with the family over for the holiday. Bit of commission work to wrap up before I pay my rent also. Look for it by friday at the latest. The one from the comics is super lame, so I will be using the one from the recent game as a starting point.
