My reinterpretation of Sarah Kerrigan, A.K.A. the "queen of blades" from Blizzard Entertainment's hugely popular Starcraft franchise of PC games.
(look for the cleaned up version with a background soon, for the Blizzard forums/ fan art pages)
If you are unfamiliar with the series, this character was a human telepath at one point, but was left to die by her commanders in a combat situation vs. the terrifying zerg race of aliens. The zerg "infested" her, transforming her into a powerful psyonic being. Eventually she would take control of all the zerg, as "the queen of blades". She would then be responsible for the genocide of hundreds of millions of human colonists, and protoss warriors. Her fate has yet to be sealed in the game series
Sorry this one took longer than most of my fan arts. I try and do them weekly, but sometimes it is not possible. This time it was due to the complexity of this character, and some of the other things I've been busy with. Be sure to vote for next week's fan art in the poll on my home page!

But her faith was sealed right? According to the wikipedia and some fans she became back to "normal" after they found her. Not a huge fan so I would not know. Awesome artwork so detailed and well-made.
....I would so love to have this as a poster on my wall haha... great job and detail.. its kinda great that there is nothing to disturb the eye from her mighty presence... but I wonder if a background in any kind of way would be thinkable? whatever its a lovely piece!
For the Swarm!
