For my redesign of rogue, I had to take a much different approach than for Ironman and Batman from the previous weeks. Rogue is a fascinatingly complex character from a literature standpoint. She is power incarnate, but at a terrible price. I wanted to capture her complex personality in the illustration. A confidant southern belle, trying desperately to hold in the pain she feels from not being able to get close to anyone without causing them great harm.
Not as much of an opportunity to draw the super detailed armor and uniforms of my previous redesigns, but I hope she makes up for it in other ways. Enjoy!
