Kinda look like a mix between Dead Space guns and Mass Effect guns. Pretty epic job.

except these were painted before either of those games were released, so maybe what you meant to say was the guns from mass effect and deadspace look like my designs :)

i seem to reconise but do you use Macromedia Flash for your weapon designs, or are they drawn on another thing? anyways the guns are good, and they resemble futuristicness perfectly. well done :D

I use pencil paper and a ruler actually, the ink and color is photoshop. And macromedia hasn't owned flash in years, it's adobe flash now! Thanks for the complements though!

Alright, here's the main idea-

With a Rail Gun, two rails use magnets and intense electricity to fire a projectile along its path.

With a Gauss Gun, or technically whats called a Coil Gun, a coil of electrically charged material around a barrel is whats used to launch a projectile.

So in principle, its the same thing, a weapon using electricity to fire a projectile, but the application is different.

All three are awesome, but there's something about a .50 Cal hand held Gauss Pistol that really tickles my fancy ^___^

thanks man. You know a lot about guns right? Do you know the difference between a gauss gun and a rail gun? I'm having a little trouble wrapping my head around what a gauss gun is.

They all look great, particularly the 1st one. but I have to say the 3rd is SERIOUSLY derivative of the D9 gun. I think I'd be disappointed to see it in a game.

i really have to agree with dukeleto. i have no doubt in my mind that you developed it on your own, but you still dont want something in a game which, when seen, reminds people of other media as strongly as this might.

i think you could tweak it some and make it more yours and it would be an excellent addition to the game assets.

and i very much enjoy your other weapons.

youve removed the most identifiable feature, which will definitely help.

anything beyond that would be nit-picking.

true, but that doesn't change my point in the slightest, it's still cultural baggage your designer friends game could do without. The other two prove you can be original, now prove you can accept it like a grown-up when someone offers criticism.

yeah that's definitely an improvement. It's a shame, as those insulator things really did scream "Electrical weapon" but as I said, you don't need such a strong association with another property.

I think the reworked weapon still does the job tho, the cylinders suggest batteries maybe, and the prongs at the muzzle put me in mind of a taser.
Great work!

Hmm...the bottom gun looks to be inspired by District 9's shock rifle (if that's what it's called?). In general, these are very tight designs!
